Dose-dependent, statistically significant
HFD (high-fat diet) mouse model, 8-week intervention. Two products tested: Blackberry Freeze-Dried Powder (HMDG/high dose; HMDL/low dose) and Blackberry Original Juice (HMYY-H/high dose; HMYY-L/low dose), compared against HFD model group and normal control (NC). All results statistically significant vs HFD group.

At week 6, both FD Powder and Original Juice high-dose groups showed significantly lower body weight vs HFD model group (p<0.05, *). Effect is dose-dependent — higher intake, greater suppression.
GTT (glucose tolerance test) at week 4 & 8: blackberry groups showed significantly lower blood glucose AUC vs HFD (*** p<0.001). Peak blood glucose lower and delayed. Effect strengthened after 8 weeks — long-term intake more effective.
Histological analysis (HE + Oil Red O staining): lipid vacuole size and count significantly reduced; inflammatory infiltration markedly decreased (**** p<0.0001) in high-dose groups. Hepatocyte arrangement restored toward normal. Effect most pronounced at high dose.
Both freeze-dried powder and original juice demonstrated statistically significant, dose-dependent improvements across three major metabolic health endpoints. The dose-response relationship is particularly valuable for structured supplement formulations where consistent bioactive loading per serving is critical. These findings support positioning blackberry ingredients across weight management, glycaemic health and hepatic protection — three of the highest-growth segments in the European nutraceutical market.
